Compact GeoDome House

Compact GeoDome House

Amateur.Arch
Geodesic domes as houses are somehow forgotten, yet truly fascinating structures: versatile, beautifully shaped and kind of futuristic-looking, with endless possibilities and building combinations. This eco-friendly modern home is relatively small, placed on a minimal ground parcel, easy to sustain and clean, and has lots of sunlight. The outer walls and triangular dome pieces are pre-fabricated (complete with insulation, circuits and round windows openings) and then assembled on-site, fixed on aluminium geodesic frame underneath (try to open the file and hide the 'Dome' layer). 'GeoDome House' is a contemporary, compact urban dwelling, designed for a small family or working couple. (Another floor could be added in the middle, to gain extra space for two bedrooms and a second bathroom.) The living space is optimized with custom-made furniture to measure, but relavitely minimalistic and follows the open-room concept. The basic layout of rooms and floors fits the contemporary living style and reflects the everyday routines of most people. Everything is layered and fully furnished, as usual. Made by yours truly. ツ "A dome is the safest, strongest and most energy efficient building. It takes less building materials to enclose usable living or working area in a dome than any other shaped structure." —Blair Wolfram "The Geodesic Dome is, simply stated, the strongest, lightest and most efficient means of enclosing space yet devised." —The American Institute of Architects #contemporary_architecture #fully_furnished #geodesic_dome #geodome #interior_design #modern_apartment #small_living_space
