Originally a modified 312 T from 1975, The 312 T2 was used by Ferrari to defend the title for the famous 1976 Formula 1 season.
Having lost the title by only a point Niki Lauda began testing constantly, unhappy with the handling of the '76 car.
As a result extensive changes were made to the car including revised radiators, new suspension, new bodywork, and new rear wing making the 1977 312T2 now a new car in its own right. This was the car that he used to try and regain the F1 world championship from James Hunt.
With its flat V12 Boxer engine developing well over 500bhp it outpowered the field in 1977. Despite Lotus developing ground effect aerodynamics that year it still took Lauda to his 2nd Formula 1 World Championship.
This model has removable bodywork revealing the monocoque, engine, gearbox, and suspension.
