The Airbus A330-302(HGW) has a maximum take off weight of 242 tonnes (instead of the 240 tonnes of the normal A330-300) and was certified in 2012. Delta Air Lines became the first operator of the Airbus A330-302(HGW) in the second quarter of 2015, and operates the Higher Gross Weight aircraft with the General Electric CF6-80E1 engines instead of the PW4000 engines on their A330-223’s and A330-323’s. This is a HGW variant of Delta in the most detailed Delta variant including the Delta belly logo, sky team logo’s and wifidomes. Delta Air Lines commenced her operations on the 17th of June 1929. The airline is headquartered in Atlanta. The airline haves hubs on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport (New York City), LaGuardia Airport (New York City), Logan International Airport (Boston), Los Angeles International Airport, Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Narita International Airport (Tokyo), Salt Lake City International Airport and Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. In 2010, Delta Air Lines merged with Northwest Airlines and took over all their A330-200’s, A330-300’s, 757-200’s, 757-300’s and 747-400’s. This made Delta Air Lines the world’s biggest airline in terms of passengers in 2013. Delta currently operates 11 Airbus A330-223’s, 23 Airbus A330-323’s and 3(+1 on order) Airbus A330-302(HGW)’s.
