This began as two concepts. My brothers intent to have a long and narrow home design, and my fathers ideas for a building made with Gothic arches. After some drawing, I eventually came up with this. Providing a large amount of strength and interior volume, whilst maintaining a small rectangular footprint. It's difficult to describe this design with words to most people, or to draw a representation that most people can recognise in 3D (as it's walls are also it's ceiling); hence me making a 3D model of the overall. But I won't stop there...
NOTE: The outward curvature/angle of the roofing can be adjusted to suit the summer/winter cycles of wherever the building is placed, to ensure the correct solar gain for the home. And it can potentially be made on any scale (depending on the support structure within), whether it be just over a single storey in height, or the equivalent of an aircraft hangar.
UPDATE: V1.1 - New interior supports. Much more detail on the way, eventually.
