British Airways VC-10 1101 G-ARVM 1975

SketchVC10
In 1974 the 2 main british airlines (BEA & BOAC) merged to form british airways. BOAC had 4 standard VC-10's left (the others having already been retired). 3 of these vc-10's were sold to Boeing as a part exchange for boac's 747-136's. Boeing scrapped the 3 aircraft at heathrow. The 1 remaing BOAC vc-10 standard, was saved and was put in service with BA as a standby aircraft for the Super VC-10 fleet. G-ARVM was retired with the super vc-10's in 1979. She was preserved at RAF cosford in this livery. However in 2006, she was partly scrapped and the forward fuselarge section was moved to brooklands museum. Thanks to 2001Kraft and 707 :) Also scotland is voting for or against independance right now!!!! :s Im split half way. I would love it if they voted no because the i love my country :D but it would be exciting to see the change if the voted yes. The union flag would probably change so BA might change there livery too! #747 #BA #British_airways #VC10 #VC10_1101
