This is a concept for taking a pocket park to the next level. Two individual pocket park spaces are connected via a pedestrian bridge that spans between two towers. Each park has a bench, trees, and either a seesaw or a swing. The overall concept for this park is a sort of mini playground or adventure space for people of all ages. The street design has one travel lane in each direction flanked by car parking that protects a bike lane (with bollards) that lies next to the sidewalk on both sides of the street. When there are pocket parks, the parks take the place of the parallel parking lane and the bike lane curves around so the park space can be connected to the sidewalk.
This model is designed to fit with my Complete Street model.
