Drawing/Drafting Table

Drawing/Drafting Table

David M.
Hi, Guys. This is my final version of the drawing/drafting table. I consolidated the side panels into one piece to help streamline construction. I added casters to raise it a bit and make it easier to move around. When I started measuring the actual components I noticed that many of them were odd sized which would have required the purchasing of multiple sheets of plywood panels. I resized the major components so that one sheet of plywood would provide multiple pieces without having to cut into additional sheets. The drawing surface remains the same size as before. Casters were added to raise the unit a bit and make it easier to move around. Verticle storage for boards and canvases were added, as I thought the area under the table top in the original design was wasted. A large flat "paper shelf" was added under the top. All major parts are on their own layer for study and dissection. I have plenty of scrap wood in my shop, and will actually build this table ASAP. I'll post a picture and a YouTube video when it is finished. Thanks for being patient. #art_table #drafting_table #drawing_table #paper_storage #studio_furniture
