I thought this was simply a visually cool image.
If you want to make the old "el' cheapo' quickie" stop-action type video. Notice that each robot is in it's own layer.
keep the camera view constant, set all layers to non-visible except one, export a 2D image of the robot that shows
then make that layer non-visible and make the next layer up visible, and do another 2D export
do this in sequence for all layers starting at the lowest layer (3A) and ending with the uppermost layer (22E)
request your video editing software to "string together in proper order" the above set of exported 2D images
and watch the video emerge. It worked well for me (in the video) to request that each 2D exported image displays for 0.5 sec
