Setmakers McDonaldland Train (1970s - 1980s)

Setmakers McDonaldland Train (1970s - 1980s)

Bill Wrigley
A McDonaldland kids train, featured in many McDonald's retail outlets during the 1970s and 1980s in Canada and the US. This children's accessory was a favorite for kids attending a birthday party at a McDonald's (a clever marketing tool used back then - as today), and was introduced as part of a series of McDonaldland novelties offered by Setmakers, Inc. of Los Angeles, California, beginning in Chula Vista, California in 1972. The train was manufactured in molded fiberglass and painted in a brightly colored durable finish. Its size could accommodate up to four kids per car and two in the locomotive. The retailer could purchase as many cars as they liked for their outlet depending on their seating requirements. Certain details like simulated rivets were omitted in this model to limit file size. The dimensions are exact, from those I researched in the Setmakers catalogue. Locomotive - 5' 4 1/2" length X 3" 1 1/2" high x 2' wide Car - 3' 3" length X 2' 3" high x 1' 10" wide #kids #McDonalds #McDonaldland #restaurant #seating #Setmakers #train
