An appology for a major bug that slipped past my final screening...
You know how component parts are EXACT clones of parts, and how if you manipulate identical components, the other mirror clones will update, rotate and act accordingly? Well I made the mistake of re-grouping some elements in the component hive, forgetting that doing so places things on the wrong side when the parts are mirrored, such as the engines.. The Ram-Air for the Balloonettes rotates with the ducted fan, and being an exact clone component, I forgot that when mirrored across to the opposite side of the gondola, the Ram-Air would be situated incorrectly on the outside of the engine component.
Emergency fix successful.. Pardon for any inconvenience I may have caused. Please delete any downloads you have made prior to 03:00 hrs Pacific Time December 4 2015 when this emergency patch has been uploaded.
My replica of Airship Industries / Westinghouse's Modern Surveillance Blimp pitched to the United States Navy.
The program ultimately never succeeded, however the proof of concept ship was rather unique, therefore deserves some memory made of it by an LTA fan such as myself.
Some items are hidden within the envelope of the ship, with a large radar dish atop the gondola as well as basic balloonette and suspension web to spread the gondola load evenly across the envelope.
Fins are pose-able, as are the engine nacelles, with hidden rotation objects beside them. To pose the ducted fans, and tail fins, find the grouped object within the component part, use the rotation tool, and pose along the axis provided by the hidden rotation object.
