The Low Lighthouse IJmuiden is a round, reddish brown, cast iron tower designed by Quirinus Harder and was built in 1878 by DA Schretlen & Co of Leiden. The tower has a height of 24 meters and, and together with the High Lighthouse IJmuiden they form a light line to mark the IJ Channel entrance to the port marks. The tower has five floors and 88 steps.
