Description
This bridge, was an older wooden bridge which was known as The Liar's Bridge. The cast iron version replaced it in 1859, and is Romania’s oldest cast-iron bridge. Andrei's mum used to cross this bridge every day. At first it was called The Iron Bridge but later got it's old name back, Podul Minciunilor or The Liar's Bridge. Legend has it that if a person tells a lie while standing on it, the iron structure will collapse. #Liars_Bridge #Piata_Mica #Podul_Minciunilor #Romania #Sibiu #small_square
