Will W. Alexander Library built in 1961 is named for the first acting president of Dillard University, the Rev. Will W. Alexander. The library houses an extensive collection of books, journals, microform and newspapers, as well as such historical documents as the papers of the American Missionary Association of the United Church of Christ. Damaged in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Will W. Alexander Library reopened as a state-of-the-art facility in March, 2008. Developed through the DigitalCUrrents summer camp - A collaborative outreach to urban youth by the University of Colorado and Computer Magnet program of Denver Public Schools. This building was modeled by Aaron Bach a Technology Arts and Media student at the University of Colorado.
