Description
Secrétaire à Abattant (drop front desk) created in 1776 by the cabinet maker Martin Carlin for the Boudoir of the Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna at the Pavlovsk Palace. Pieces of Sèvres mounted furniture were extremely rare and expensive in the 18th century, and as such were only commissioned for royalty or the wealthiest of patrons. (Hint: Use the rotate and move tools to open the front of the desk and the secret drawer.) #18th_century #desk #drop_front_desk #French #furniture #Louis_XV #Louis_XVI #Maria_Feodorovna #Martin_Carlin #Pavlovsk_Palace #Secrétaire_à_Abattant #Sevres #Sèvres
