SEPTA 1980 Kawasaki Single-End LRV

SEPTA 1980 Kawasaki Single-End LRV

A.J.
Description
This is a SketchUp Model of one of the SEPTA Subway-Surface trolleys that were manufactured by the Kawasaki Rail Car Inc. in Japan and shipped to Boeing Vertol in Ridley in Delaware County, PA for final assembly in 1980 and 1981. These are the last trolleys in SEPTA's fleet that are non-wheelchair accessible, that run underneath Market Street and Philadelphia's City Hall on routes 10, 11,13, 34, 36, which the routes run in West Philadelphia, and were also mixed in with the refurbished PCC-II trolleys on surface route 15 in North and West Philadelphia in Philadelphia PA, back in 2005. The colors on SEPTA's kawasaki trolleys now are red and blue gradient (like the buses), and most of the SEPTA Kawasaki LRV's two-piece passenger windows are now a one-piece window, and also have the outside Kawasaki 1980 and Kawasaki 1981 outside manufacturing plate either painted white, or removed, due to SEPTA's practice not displaying names of manufacturers on the outside of their vehicles. #1980 #1981 #City_Hall #Delaware_County #Kawasaki #LRV #Market_Street #North_Philadelphia #PCCII #SEPTA #Subway #SubwaySurface #Surface #West_Philadelphia
