Mohamed EL Shahed
King Djoser's Saqqara Perimeter wall southern Entrance drawn to scale in royal cubits. Built during the III Dynasty (2727-2655 BC). The Perimeter Wall of king Djoser's complex is one of its best known features in the world. Imhotep, who's name means "the one that comes in peace". He was the world's first named architect who built Egypt's first pyramid (King Djoser step pyramid), is often recognized as the world's first doctor, a priest,. scribe, sage, poet, astrologer, and a vizier and chief minister. The model is a faithful attempt to reconstruct the perimeter wall entrance to scale using ancient Egyptian measurements of royal cubits (RC). 1 Royal Cubit (RC) = 0.524 mtr. / 52.4 cm. Hight of the wall 10.48 mtr. (20 royal cubits). The model follows Egyptian Pharaonic Old dynasty in: 1. decoration with niches in the " palace facade" style, 2. applies the grid system of 20 equal horizontal sections: 18 RC (9.432 mtr.) + 2 RC (1.048 mtr.). After download, open with Google sketchup, check out "layers" under window tab, to see details inside the temple.
