Exterior set facades from the former RKO/Desilu "40 Acres" backlot studio in Culver City, California, as they appeared in television's "The Andy Griffith Show." This model combines several individual models, relatively scaled and positioned as they were on the actual backlot, along with additional details. The facades in the model represent the Mayberry main town area, and include the "Grand" theater, the "Mayberry Hotel," the grocery store, TV repair shop, "Floyd's" barber shop, the Mayberry courthouse, the "back street" facades, the polygonal central building whose front entrance served as that for "Walker's Drug Store," the church and more.
