I needed an inexpensive but strong workbench that could be easily rolled around and could be made with readily available materials using simple tools. This is 6ft long by 29 inches wide but can easily be modified for other dimensions. It's made from a single sheet of 3/4" MDF for the top and shelf, 2x4s for the frame, and 1x3s for the shelf frame. It is intended to be assembled using wood screws. The most expensive component is the 4" locking casters which are optional. If you don't need them just add 5 inches to the length of the legs to maintain the 36 inch working height.
