A former movie theater on Racho Road in Taylor behind Art Van. This theater originally opened as an eight-screen Star Taylor in 1989. In the mid-1990's, two auditoriums were built on the south side of the building and the Star Taylor was now a ten-screen theater. In 1998, in time for "Godzilla", the auditoriums were converted to stadium seating. In 2002, half of Star Theater's share was sold to Loews Cineplex, though the theater wasn't renamed. In January 2006, Loews Cineplex was acquired by AMC Theaters and the theaters were renamed the AMC Star Taylor 10. It then closed in 2009 and reopened a year later as the Spotlight Taylor 10, which then closed again in October 2012. The building is still vacant to this day. UPDATE: MJR Digital Cinemas will be reopening this theater as the Grand Taylor Experience this Christmas season.
