Arlington Education Center

Ryan A.
The Arlington Education Center houses administrative offices of Arlington Public Schools. Designed by the Cleveland-based architecture firm Ward and Schneider in the late 1960s, the building won high praise from the American Association of School Administrators. A citation noted that the building "should attract the public and focus attention on the importance of education." At the center of the complex is the planetarium, where students and the general public come to learn about astronomy in a 68-seat domed auditorium. In 2008, the planetarium was re-named after astronaut David M. Brown following the loss of the space shuttle Columbia. #Arlington_Education_Center #Arlington_Planetarium #Arlington_Public_Schools #David_M_Brown_Planetarium #planetarium
