Cross Cut Sled

Cross Cut Sled

Saws and Jaws
To see more info including a video featuring this jig click on the link below Hey woodworkers! This crosscut sled is designed to fit on my smaller contractor saw so be sure to take that into account if you are designing one for your saw. I find that the size is well suited to cutting almost any length of board using a hold down clamped to the main fence. For long boards be sure to use some form of support to the side of the saw. ***Design hint: create each half of the jig base separately with a single runner, trimming each side flush to the blade. Then tack (using double sided tape or small screws) a temporary board across the saw kerf to hold things in place while you add the front fence. Finally, loosely add the rear fence with what ever method you plan to use and square the blade to the fence. I find that using bolts in slightly over-sized holes allows you to adjust the fence easily. Don't forget to visit the Saws and Jaws website and subscribe to our YouTube channel...Thanks and Enjoy!
