Description
This is a 3-dimensional model of the Tōdai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan. It was built in the year 752 under Emperor Shomu. It’s currently considered to be the largest wooden structure in the world. Inside of it is a 14.84 meter bronze statue of Mahavairocana, known to the Japanese as Dainichi Nyoria. It was one of the Seven Great Temples of Nara before the capital was moved in 784 by Emperor Kammu due to the excessive influence of powerful Nara temples. #3D_model #Buddhism #Humanities_Project #oo
