Across Market Street from the Philadelphia Convention Center, the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, originally the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS) Building, towers 150m/492ft. Built by the architectural firm of Howe & Lescaze in 1932, the tower is known to be one of the first modern skyscrapers in the United States.
