Initially it was a round house, but has evolved into this. I think of it as a house on the danish west-coast of Jutland, Denmark, where the prevailing westerly winds sweeps the sandy dunes.
The angular roof is thought to lift the wind over the site. The idea was to follow the daylight, so you wake up in the east and goes to sleep in the west. The interior is divided into 5 individual open levels, so you're always in contact with every level, as there are no walls. Under the floor of level 2, are 2 water-tanks heated in a big oven. The oven also provides for everyday cooking in the "Walk-In chimney" and I've installed a food/bar-elevator going all the way.
