Hazen Homestead

Creating Hartford
The Hazen Homestead was built in 1775, and has only been owned by the Hazen family. On a bright, sunny June day in 1775, the workers on the third floor of the Hazen house claimed to hear thunder. It wasn’t until later that they realized that it wasn’t actually thunder, but booms from the Battle of Bunker. Today, Henry Hazen is the owner of High Horses, a therapeutic riding program for people of all ages with mental or emotional challenges which takes place at the Hazen farm. #hartford #hazen #high_horses #vt
