Denver Art Museum - North Building

Denver Art Museum - North Building

Camelot
Description
The original building of the Denver Art Museum, now known as the North Building, opened in 1971. Its construction allowed the museum to display their collections in one place for the first time. The non-traditional design of the building is reminiscent of ancient castles and is sheathed in over a million reflective tiles which cause beautiful reflections in the sunlight. It was designed by Italian architect Gio Ponti with assistance from local architect James Sudler Associates. Please be sure to view this model with its counterpart, the Denver Art Museum - Fredrick C. Hamilton Building also on the 3D Warehouse. Model created by Mason Thrall. #art #art_museum #building #civic_center #CO #Colorado #Denver #downtown #Gio_Ponti #Golden_Triangle #museum #reflections
