Bellefield Presbyterian Church

The Bellefield Presbyterian Church was originally located closer to the town center of Pittsburgh, but moved to the Oakland neighborhood onto a piece of donated land in 1801. The final stage of construction was completed in 1899. It is one of the oldest buildings in Pittsburgh. This building has many features common to a church constructed at this time; it had a largely axial design with large circular congregation areas, arched openings and tall ceilings. The large stone block construction and 3 intricate stained glass windows define this as a place of worship.
