The Wells Fargo Building was built in 1927, and was originally known as the American Commercial and Savings Bank. It is made of limestone over a steel frame and built in the Classical Revival style. The bank is the tallest building in the Quad-Cities area. The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
