"Inkurain" in Japanes is Incline,"or Incline Railroad" in English meaning the cargo cable car built for industrial use. It was mainly used for transportation of the lumber in a mountains zone or transportation of the materials and the machinery in a dam construction site. From 1891 to 1941, the Incline of the Lake Biwa Canal had put the cart "Funauke-waku" led with a wire on the railroad tracks layed in the inclination section and moved boats between Funadomari of the Nanzen-ji Temple and Keage in Kyoto City. The pulling power was the hydraulic power at first and later became the motor using the electric power of the Keage Hydroelectric Power Station. This cart is one of the restored carts in 1977.
