66 Chevy c10 custom, Neglected

Jana(AKA Hozark)
Durant's Rod Shop closed it's doors in 74. The oil embargo killed interest in manly cars, and the owner went to work for his old employer, a car dealership. His mildly customized shop truck, once a staple of highways and parts stores in the area, became a neglected relic. He never did get to swap out the old baby moons for the nice Torque thrusts. The motor found it's way into the local paper for $40 to pay the gas bill one winter. The tranny was sold later, too. The old gal sat in the back yard as kids grew up, went to school got married. Life went on, and she didn't. Mandun built the original body, for other credits on the original custom, see the original post in my models. I did all the damage modeling and aging my self using sandbox stuff (Check out the busted headliner). The trannys in the bed are from Ruselln's Galaxie, the stuff scattered around the interior came with the model. The fan and alternator came off a ford 302 model, but since the guy seemed to have re-posted it with out crediting the original author, and I don't know who that was, I can't give proper credit, either. Oh well. Enjoy this old truck. I think his children might ;) #abandoned #at_rest #busted_lights #C10 #Chevy #custom #flat_tire #Junk #junk_yard #lonley #old_truck #parts_chaser #pickup #rust #rusty #sad #shop_truck
