701 Main Street - Barclay Building

Ron Hall 76
This building was built in c.1895 by Andrina Catherine Barclay, the youngest daughter of pioneer doctor, educator and early mayor of Oregon City, Forbes Barclay. The family's house was moved to the west side of this lot to make room for this structure and was later moved to Center Street, next to the McLoughlin House, where it stands as a National Register property. The building has always had retail businesses on the ground floor and professional offices on the upper floor. Over the building's life span it has been significantly altered. #Barclay_Building #Clackamas_County #historic_preservation #Mainstreet #Oregon_City
