2017 Delta Usagi/Arash C/Megax

Aliff Ramly
This is Delta's all-new compact MPV. Straightaway, it can be noted that it's based off a Japanese counterpart, the Toyota Porte. Although it bears several aliases, it is mainly called the "Usagi", meaning rabbit in Japanese. Design-wise, Delta mainly focuses on incorporating design elements from kei-cars from Japan, mixing it with some European cues as well. It serves the purpose of being a non-identical twin of the Arash, hence one of its names, the "Arash C". It houses one of Delta's new engines, a 1.4 liter inline-4 with direct injection, codenamed "GXT-Di". It dispenses 115 horsepowers or 125 horsepowers to the front wheels, and around 140nm of torque. In terms of perfomance, it can do 0 to 100km/h in around 8 to 10 seconds, and flat out, it would do an electronically limited 180km/h. Even though the Usagi is entirely based off a Porte, it includes significant differences such as a longer and higher frontal area, four normal doors rather than a singular electronically controlled sliding door on the passenger side, and a lengthier wheelbase and body length to give more legroom. It is also faintly wider than the original car, again, giving more room inside. The frontal pillar has also been fully remodelled, hiding the C pillar behind the A pillar. The rear of the car has also been fully remodelled. Even though it serves the purpose of being the twin of the Arash, the Usagi is even more redesigned from its original model than the Arash, for marketing purposes. The car comes in three trims, the poverty-friendly Standard trim, the Watashi trim, the one that is shown, and the Turbo trim, which consists of a turbocharged version of the 1.4 liter engine. Equipment-wise, the car comes with the usual things, such as an interactive entertainment system with a 5" screen, three USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, internet connectivity, digital gauges, and many more. As always, it features Delta's Precision Drive system, which has been recently updated. The car would be sold solely for the JDM market, but it will be sold to other Asian countries around 3 or 4 months after its Japanese release. Prices would range from ¥850,000 for the Standard trim, ¥1,050,000 for the middle trim, and ¥1,250,000 for the Turbo model. Anyway, please drop a like or a comment.
