James K. Moffitt Undergraduate Library is a five-story library with two underground floors that directly connect to the underground stacks of neighboring Doe Library. It was named after James K. Moffitt, a Cal regent and benefactor of the University Library System. The Free Speech Movement (FSM) Cafe is also a part of this library, with its own entrance and large courtyard. The library was designed by Architect John Carl Warnecke and Associates, and completed construction in 1970. #Cal #Free_Speech_Movement #FSM #James_Moffitt #John_Carl_Warnecke #Moffitt_Library #UC_Berkeley
