Principality of Bulgaria has established its diplomatic presence in Cetinje in 1897. Bulgarian Legation was situated in the Castle Street (the palace of King-King Nicholas), the private home of Duke Iva Radonjica. Interrupted Montenegro-Bulgaria intercourse, and thus termination of the Bulgarian legation in Cetinje in 1913 there was, the outbreak of the second Balkan War.
In the National Museum of Montenegro, in the premises of the former home Matanovic was opened, in April 2002. The gallery Atelier Jay. Space that was once the studio of renowned artist Dado Djuric was transformed into a place for promotion, especially Montenegrin art scene.
