Electronic configuration Tin is a chemical element in the periodic table which has the symbol Sn and atomic number 50. This silver and malleable post-transition metal, which does not easily oxidise to the air and resists corrosion, is used in many alloys and to cover other metals more vulnerable to corrosion. The tin is obtained mainly from cassiterite, a mineral in which it is present in the form of oxide, and from the stannite. #Sn #Tin #Sn50
