I thought it would be useful to post this as well. Mario Kart Wii bases collision on the textures found on each polygon, this data is put into a kcl file. Your course model pretty much always needs some changes to make an effective collision model. In this model, the blue areas marked 'fall' will cause you to respawn if you touch them. The mountains are deleted and the fall zone is pulled quite high, this is useful to prevent super shortcuts.
