Umbrella Teepee

Umbrella Teepee

Arvy P.
Keeping with the tradition of the Great Plains Native Americans, the Umbrella Teepee is designed to maintain cultural and evironmental harmony. Built of stone, wood, and canvas, materials are found locally, and the design lends itself to being quickly and easily dismantled. During hot days, the teepee can be opened up like an umbrella for shade, the bed deployed as a beach chair, and can then be quickly closed for cold nights. #competition #design_it #guggenheim #lakota #shelter #south_dakota #sylvan_lake #teepee #umbrella
