After a first chapel was they built around 1570. 1776-79 according to a plan by Christian Gotthelf Reuther a late Baroque church with an octagonal shape (octagonal). As an architectural model used from the Dresden Frauenkirche by Christian Bähr. On the weather vane, a miner stands as a landmark of the tin mining trade. The church was a ecclesiastical building for the miners. Above the entrance stands as a motto "To the glory of God and the salvation of men." The Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church stands in the center, on a small promontory. Because of its distinctive architectural charisma she stands as a landmark for the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge).
