Canary Wharf DLR

Canary Wharf DLR

Simon W.
With six platforms and three bi-directional tracks, Canary Wharf is the largest station on London's Docklands Light Railway. It is on the Lewisham branch of the DLR and serves the central area of the Isle of Dogs including the famous One Canada Square skyscraper. From here trains run to Bank, Stratford or Lewisham every few minutes. The station took its current form with an arched overall roof after it was quickly realised that the original station would be unable to cope with the levels of passengers. The lower part of the station is a shopping centre opening out onto Canada Square itself, from where one can access the London Underground Jubilee Line. West India Quay (the next station north), Canary Wharf and Heron Quays (the next station south) are the closest three consecutive railway stations in the world. #Canary_Wharf #DLR #Docklands_Light_Railway #Isle_of_Dogs #station #train
