Nyctosaurus gracilis

Nyctosaurus gracilis

With a wingspan of 14 feet, Nyctosaurus was a relativly small member of the pteranodon family of pterosaurs. However, what it lacked in size was more than made up for in flashiness. This pterosaur carried a crest on it's head that stood 6 feet tall. This crest was used by males to advertise to females durinfg the breeding season. The male with the largest, Flashiest crest was the most apt to attract a female.
