MДTT, TЯIMBLΣ HILLS CØP
Southland Center is a regional mall that is on the north side of Eureka Road in Taylor, MI, halfway between I-75 and Telegraph Road (US 24). It first opened in 1970. It has been expanded four times, the first in 1976 which saw the opening of a JCPenney, one in 1988 which saw the opening of a Mervyn's (which closed in 2006 and is still vacant), followed by one in 1992 which added a food court, then another one in 2006 in which the food court was torn down and replaced with a Best Buy store. Today, the mall is operated by Rouse Properties, anchored by Macy's, JCPenney, Forever 21 and Best Buy and features about 120 inline stores. A more detailed history of the mall can be seen on my blog at: http://motor-city-retail-history.blogspot.com/2013/02/southland-center-taylor-michigan.html #21 #best #best_buy #buy #center #forever #forever_21 #jcpenney #macys #mi #michigan #properties #rouse #southland #taylor #united_states #usa
