An elaborate article on the architecture of Kerala requires a little research, so here I will be only dealing with the Naalukettu. Basically speaking they are the traditional houses of Kerala. They have some good wooden details and are made incorporating all the Vernacular architectural features of Kerala. You can find a detailed plan of the Naalukeetu and also some views of the sketch up model of a Naalukettu which I had made a year ago.
One thing I plan to do, if I pursue a career as an architect(Well thats a big IF) is to design a Naalukeetu for my parents . For those who are ignorant about Naalukettu have a look at the description from Wiki below the slideshow.
