Diamond of Istanbul will consist of 3 towers connected to each other through a central spine, forming a single structural body: One 20,000 m², 300-room hotel; one 18,000 m² residential block; and one 16,000 m² office block. The 48-floor hotel tower will rise above a retail facility and have two panoramic restaurants at heights of 209.10m and 213.10m respectively, with an overall total of 53 floors above ground and an overall structural height of 270m from street level. The complex will include a 5-floor, 35,000 m² shopping mall, a large aquarium, a botanic garden, cinemas, and concert halls. 5 of the 8 floors below ground will be used as parking space. Most of the main materials of the building, especially the steel components of the structure which are provided by Arcelor and applied by Tabosan-Samko, are purposefully chosen to deal with a possible strong earthquake.
