This 2D FaceMe automatically rotates to follow the camera. The Axis rotates around the center bottom of the object, so in a tight space it stays centered.
Realistic object with no 3D rendering.
As it rotates, the edges will show through the wall, so place it in the center of a room. Usually 2D FaceMe objects are tall and narrow so they don't poke through walls as they rotate. Or they are small objects like plates on a dining table.
The process: Drag any photo into Sketchup. RightClick>Explode. Draw around it, cut off the image border edges. RightClick>MakeComponent. Check "Follow Camera". Optionally set the axis as the center bottom of the object. Done.
