Saint John's church Steendorp

dirk gorrebeeck
Steendorp, formerly part of Bazel, got its independance in 1881 but already had a church in 1830. Its building was paid for by the locals, practically all of them brickmakers. Hence also the name of the new village: Steendorp, Stonetown. The present tower was built in 1890. #Bazel #Belgium #Church #Flanders #history #Steendopr
