Alamosaurus sanjaunensis

Alamosaurus sanjaunensis

Birdman
At 70 feet long, Alamosaurus was the largest animal to roam the American west in the Late Cretaceous. These huge dinosaurs were among the last of the great line of sauropods (long-necked dinosaurs) that had flourished in the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous. This animal's size was a tremendous advandtage when it came to defense, even rendering it nearly immune from the mighty Tyrannosaurus. Shown here are an adult and a juvenile. #alamosaurus #animal #birdman #cretaceous #dinosaur #prehistoric #sauropod #texas #titanosaur
