This is a model of the Chicago Board of Trade Building in Chicago, Illinois. In 1925, the Chicago Board of Trade commissioned Holabird & Root to design the current building. It opened in 1930. It is clad in gray Indiana limestone, topped with a copper pyramid roof. It rises to a height of around 610 feet. The Chicago Board of Trade was the tallest building in Chicago from 1930 to 1965 It serves as the end of the LaSalle Street "canyon." In 1983, a 23-floor addition was added. It was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1977, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
