Industrial-Stevens Apartments

N. W. Perry
The Industrial Building, an Art Deco/Art Moderne high-rise with intricate limestone details, was designed by Louis Kamper. It was built in 1928, stands 240 feet high and has 22 floors. Originally opened as the Industrial Bank of Detroit's headquarters, it has also been known as Park Place Apartments, as evidenced by a painted panel on its north side. It is now used for senior and low-income housing. #apartments #art_deco #high_rise #housing
