Clinch Avenue Viaduct is a closed-spandrel arch bridge over Second Creek, Norfolk Southern Railroad Tracks on Clinch Avenue. Designer and mathamatician Ewin Thacher designed the Clinch Avenue Viaduct on plans using the Melan system. Knoxville rebuilt the Clinch Avenue Viaduct and altered it in 1981 for the 1982 World's Fair reopening it as a pedestrian bridge with a different railing, and reopened it to vehicular traffic in 2002.
