A near-accurate representation of the Hotel Braddock, an elegant resort built near the Braddock Heights Amusement Park overlooking Frederick and Middletown, Maryland. The hotel was constructed by Patrick Long of Frederick with the aid of the Hagerstown and Frederick Railway (Trolley Line) which owned the amusement park.
The structure burned in 1929, and was never rebuilt due to the stock market collapse two months later. Remnants of the hedgerow that bordered the property still remain, and it was not until recent years that the empty lot was divided into residential lots. #Braddock_Heights #Historic #Hotel #Hotel_Braddock #Maryland
